Rock ‘n’ Roll Printing: Our Journey to Bonfest 2025

This May, the streets of Kirriemuir were once again alive with music, memories, and the unmistakable spirit of Bon Scott. Fans from around the world gathered to celebrate the legendary AC/DC frontman in his hometown at Bonfest 2025, and we at Winter & Simpson Print were proud to be right in the heart of it.

As the official print partner for this year’s festival, we had the pleasure of helping bring the Bonfest vision to life through bold, high-quality signage and print materials.

'Music to Thrill'

Bonfest is more than a weekend of music, it’s a celebration of Bon Scott, the legendary frontman of AC/DC and Kirriemuir’s own. Thousands come to pay tribute, and the festival grows every year in scale, spirit, and sound.

It’s also all for a brilliant cause: Bonfest is organised by DD8 Music, a youth music charity dedicated to creating opportunities for young people in the area. Supporting them through our work made this even more special.

We worked closely with the Bonfest team to design and deliver everything they needed, including:

• Stunning stage backdrops
• Directional and safety signage to guide thousands
• Bar visuals to keep the good times flowing
• Printed programmes with full event listings
• Window graphics to bring the town to life

Sustainability is at the core of what we do. For Bonfest, we used recyclable and eco-friendly materials, vegetable-based inks, and durable signage built to be used again in future years.

Our connection to Bonfest goes beyond business. Located less than 30 minutes from Kirriemuir, many of our team have personal ties to the event and the people behind it.

Being on-site and ready to jump in made all the difference. From early installs to last-minute tweaks, our team was there, hands-on and happy to help every step of the way.

Now that the amps have cooled, we’re taking a moment to reflect on an unforgettable experience. Huge thanks to the Bonfest team, the folks at DD8 Music, the incredible local community, and every festivalgoer who gave us a thumbs-up (especially those who found the toilets thanks to our signs!).
